Australian Defence Magazine (ADM) and DefenceNT are once again partnering to deliver NT Defence Week 2026. Northern Australia continues to play a pivotal role in the nation’s strategic posture, with the Territory’s location, infrastructure, and industry capability essential to Australia’s defence and national resilience.

The ADM Northern Australia Defence Summit returns as a key feature of NT Defence Week 2026, taking place on 28 April, with two half-day forums on the following day. This expanded Summit format highlights the Territory’s growing importance to Defence and national security.

Designed to deepen engagement between Defence, industry, and Indo-Pacific partners, while showcasing new opportunities for collaboration across the Territory, this year’s theme “Northern Capability, National Defence” underscores how the Territory’s strategic location, infrastructure, and industry capability strengthen the nation’s defence posture and resilience.
